Official ! Sofyan Amrabat Join Manchester United on Loan
Manchester United have officially announced that they have completed the transfer of midfielder Sofyan Amrabat on loan from
Fiorentina for a total reported fee of around €10 million. In the agreement, the player's loan is for one season, while United has the option to buy the player permanently.
The deal was finalized before the transfer window closed, with Erik ten Hag hoping to use Amrabat to fill the void in midfield left by Fred's move to Fenerbahce. The Moroccan midfielder was outstanding at the
World Cup in Qatar the previous year, helping his country to finish fourth in the tournament.
Sofyan Amrabat is only 27 years old, born in the Netherlands, and has played for Utrecht, Feyenoord, Club Brugge, and Verona. He won the Belgian league title with Club Brugge, making 49 appearances that season, and Amrabat worked under Ten Hag at Utrecht 10 years ago, so he's no stranger to the manager who led the Red Devils to third place in the Premier League last season.
